White Light imaging:
Telescope: 80mm ED-Apo chromatic Refractor f/600mm with 1.5x Barlow Lens.
Camera:
Whole Disk imaging: Canon EOS 350D (DSLR) at prime focus at B&W Mode
Active Region imaging: DMK 21AU04AS (640x480 pixels) B&W USB camera
Filters: Astrosolar filter in front of the lens.
Solar Continum filter in front of the Camera.
Hydrogen Alfa imaging:
Telescope: 40mm f/400mm Refractor
Camera:
Active Region & Prominence imaging: DMK 21AU04AS (640x480 pixels) B&W USB
Camera
Filter: 0.7A FWHM filter designed for close up imaging (Coronado Ha’ P.S.T.)
Imaging and Reduction.
White Light:
Whole disk images are average stack of 3 packets (10 images each) near the highest point of Solar Orbit for every clear day. Processing is done with commercial programs (Adobe Photoshop CS2 & Registax 4.0 freeware).
Active Region images are average of about 800 single frames from the DMK camera so to overcome the seeing conditions. Additional processing is done for extra sharpening in Registax 4.0 freeware.
Hydrogen Alfa:
Low magnification imaging is done with the DMK Camera at the Prime Focus of the Telescope. Also an average of 500 frames to overcome seeing conditions. Images are processed for more sharpening in Registax 4.0 freeware.
Active Region & Prominence imaging is done with the DMK Camera and a 2.5x Barlow lens and the same procedure as the low magnification images.
